The 100% pure organic lavender essential oil is a colourless to slightly yellowish oil with a characteristically fresh, floral and gentle fragrance.

Its fragrance is soft, warm and harmonious and is often associated with calm, balance and deep relaxation.

Organic Lavender Oil – How to Use

In a diffuser:
Add 3–5 drops of organic lavender oil to the diffuser.

As a skin and massage oil:
Mix 6–8 drops of organic lavender oil with 50 ml of carrier oil, e.g. almond or nut oil.

As a bath additive:
Add 10–15 drops of organic lavender oil to 4 tablespoons of cream or milk and pour into the bathwater.

Blends well with:
Peppermint, Rosemary, Lemon and Lemongrass.

The 100% pure organic lavender essential oil is obtained from the fresh flowers of true lavender (Lavandula Angustifolia) through steam distillation.

The plant is organically cultivated. The oil is 100% natural and pure. The yield from steam distillation is approximately 0.8% to 1.6%.

Steam distillation is a gentle separation process used to extract and purify low-volatility plant compounds such as essential oils. The process uses steam to release the aromatic compounds from the plant while preserving the oil’s natural properties.

The Plant – Lavandula Angustifolia

The true lavender species (Lavandula Angustifolia) belongs to the lavender genus (Lavandula) in the subfamily Nepetoideae within the mint family (Lamiaceae).

Lavender is native to the coastal regions of the Mediterranean. The plant is perennial, grows as a woody shrub and reaches heights of up to 1 metre.

The branches are ascending and upright. The narrow leaves are between 40 and 50 mm long and covered with grey, felt-like hairs. The blue to violet flowers are arranged in 6 to 10 so-called verticillasters on the spike-like inflorescence.

The flowering period is between June and August. Lavender essential oil is extracted from the flowers and is especially known for its floral, soft and harmonious fragrance.
