The 100% pure organic eucalyptus essential oil is a slightly yellowish, and sometimes greenish, oil with a characteristic fresh and clear fragrance.

Its fragrance is reminiscent of pure forest air, has a cooling and clarifying character and features a spicy, slightly camphoraceous note.

Organic eucalyptus oil is often used for room fragrancing or in fragrance blends when a fresh, clarifying and invigorating atmosphere is desired.

Organic Eucalyptus Oil – How to Use

In a diffuser:
Add 3–5 drops of organic eucalyptus oil to the diffuser.

As a skin and massage oil:
Mix 6–8 drops of organic eucalyptus oil with 50 ml of carrier oil, e.g. almond or nut oil.

As a bath additive:
Add 10–15 drops of organic eucalyptus oil to 4 tablespoons of cream or milk and pour into the bathwater.

Blends well with:
Peppermint, Rosemary, Tea Tree and Lemon.

Production & Extraction

The 100% pure organic eucalyptus essential oil is obtained from fresh and/or dried leaves of Eucalyptus Globulus through steam distillation.

The Plant – Eucalyptus Globulus

The blue eucalyptus species (Eucalyptus globulus) belongs to the eucalyptus genus (Eucalyptus) in the myrtle family (Myrtaceae), within the order Myrtales.

Blue eucalyptus is also known as common eucalyptus or the Tasmanian blue gum. It is native to the south-east of the Australian continent and Tasmania.

Today, the plant is one of the most widely planted trees in the world. The tree is evergreen and reaches heights of between 30 and 50 metres. Its reddish-brown bark readily peels away from the trunk in strips, giving the trunk its characteristic appearance.

Young leaves are oval to heart-shaped and between 5 and 15 cm long. They are light green and arranged oppositely along the branch. Older leaves develop a sickle-like shape, measure between 15 and 35 cm long and have a leathery texture. Their colour changes to dark green.

The round, cream-coloured flowers grow individually in the leaf axils and have a diameter of approximately 5 cm. The flowering period is from December to March. Pollinated flowers develop into fruit capsules with two to four chambers, in which the seeds mature before being released through small openings.
