Organic Rosemary Oil – 10 ml

The 100% pure organic rosemary essential oil is a colourless to slightly yellowish, and sometimes greenish, oil with a spicy, refreshing and characteristic fragrance.

Its fragrance is herbal, fresh and clear and is often associated with concentration, activation and renewed vitality.

The main components of 100% pure organic rosemary essential oil are pinene isomers and camphor. Borneol, α-terpineol, limonene, caryophyllene, myrcene, p-cymene and bornyl acetate are present in lower concentrations.

Extraction: This organic essential oil is obtained from the branches of Rosmarinus Officinalis through steam distillation. The process preserves the plant’s natural aromatic compounds.

Organic Rosemary Oil – How to Use

In a diffuser:
Add 3–5 drops of organic rosemary oil to the diffuser.

As a skin and massage oil:
Mix 6–8 drops of organic rosemary oil with 50 ml of carrier oil, e.g. almond or nut oil.

As a bath additive:
Add 10–15 drops of organic rosemary oil to 4 tablespoons of cream or milk and pour into the bathwater.

Blends well with:
Eucalyptus, Lavender, Peppermint and Lemon.

Production & Extraction

The 100% pure organic rosemary essential oil is obtained from the flowering parts of the rosemary plant (Rosmarinus Officinalis) through steam distillation.

The plant is organically cultivated. The oil is 100% natural and pure. The yield from steam distillation is approximately 1% to 3%.

Steam distillation is a gentle separation process used to extract and purify low-volatility plant compounds such as essential oils. The process uses steam to release the aromatic compounds from the plant while preserving the oil’s natural properties.

The Plant – Rosmarinus Officinalis

The rosemary species (Rosmarinus Officinalis) belongs to the genus Rosmarinus in the subfamily Nepetoideae within the mint family (Lamiaceae), which belongs to the order (Lamiales).

Rosemary is originally native to the western and central Mediterranean region. Today, rosemary is cultivated worldwide as a culinary herb and aromatic plant.

Rosemary grows as an evergreen, bushy shrub and reaches a height of between 20 cm and 2 metres.

The branches have brown bark, which often peels away on older branches, and grow upright. The narrow, linear leaves are 10 to 40 mm long and between 1.5 and 3 mm wide. They are sessile and arranged oppositely.

The upper surface of the leaves is dark green and rough, while the underside is pale and covered with felt-like hairs. The pale blue, pink or white flowers can appear throughout the year.
